We Believe That Dance is joy

Our goal is to empower and inspire dancers of all levels. A Fine Dance Studio is known for bridging the gap between art and athletics with a focus on a healthy mind, body and spirit.

We beleive that dance is for everybody and every body. Dance improves us physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. At AFDS you will be able to find your place, your home away from home, with people who care about you and support your passion and growth. We pride ourselves on teaching our students to have an open mind and to never give up.

Our littlest dancers

Kids begin loving to dance with others from about 2 years old. With a focus on fun through learning. We create a safe and nurturing environment for our littles to learn fine and gross motor skills, balance, coordination, rhythm and confidence. Check out our Tippy Toes & Tap Shoes classes for this age group. You won’t want to miss out!

recreational dancers

Our recreational classes are for students of all ages and levels who enjoy dancing and want to be challenged, but who don’t want or have time for the rigors of a competition program. These dancers come for fun and learning. Maybe they just want to take 1 class a week or maybe they want to take 7 classes. We’ve got something for everyone within our recreational classes. The faculty are the same in both programs, so no question the quality is top notch!

Competition program

Competition teams and companies are our most rigorous programs and prepare students for a lifetime of dance. Dancers come to class everyday motivated to improve and the highest level of professionalism. This program focuses on challenging oneself every day. Our competition program is designed by skill level, not age. Competition dancers are required to take ballet and technique as well as their team program plus additional weekend rehearsals and competition events.

Our Story

A Fine Dance Studio was founded by Abigail Fine in 2009. Abigail had been a teacher of dance for many years and wanted the chance to create a new kind of dance studio. One that nurtured kids while at the same time, offering a world-class education in dance. Abigail and her faculty are happy to have created a warm, caring “home away from home” for their students.
